Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty (born October 1, 1995, at Berkeley California) is an actor. She is an actress from America that has appeared on screen in Choices (2010) and The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004).
Asia Argento is an Italian actor and filmmaker who is the daughter of the largest family. She has also pursued film and acting. The actress first made her debut in film when she was nine years old in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni bisogni. At the age of eighteen she was the lead of Cristina Comencini's Zoo as well as a part of Michele's The Church. Red Wood Pigeon, the film in which she starred as Nanni Moretti's little daughter was released a year later. It is Close Friends by Michele Placido which saw Asia's acting career begin to take off. The film received a great reception during the Cannes International Film Festival. The film was made with her father for the the first time Trauma, a renowned Italian horror filmmaker Dario Argento. The mother of her, Daria Nicoleli, is Argento's favourite actress, and she played an anorexic trying to track down the murderer of her parents. Asia was a part of Dario's The Phantom of the Opera, the third film she directed alongside her dad. Other films included Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. She also was a co-star in the film of Carlo Verdones, Perdiamoci di vista where she performed the role of Arianna an athlete. This role was complex and challenging, earning the David di Donatello as best actress. In 1995, she was a co-star alongside Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio. This collaboration was rewarded with the David di Donatello prize as well as an award called a Grolla oro. Asia began directing in 1994. She released two shorts and an episode from the film De Generazione. In 1996 she made an documentary on her father. She also produced AbelAsia, a film on the famous director Abel Ferrara. In 1998, Asia directed AbelAsia, which was awarded by the Rome Film Festival. Asia made her debut as a director in 1999 with Scarlet Diva. She was also the lead screenwriter and actor. The film premiered in the month of May in Italy and the rest of the world. It won an award in Brooklyn's Williamsburg film festival.
